Grab your backpacks and hiking poles (which we have a few packs for our guests to use, including bear spray too) and throw on your hiking boots for some great exercise or a relaxing nature walk. Or, rent a mountain bike from the village (a short stroll away) and explore the downhill trails that crisscross the mountain. If you’re not up for that adventure, watch the events blog on our sister property management site (Whitefish Glacier Vacations) since there are some fun, competitive biking events that happen during the summer. They’re a blast to watch!

So, from leisurely strolls to challenging uphill or downhill climbs, there’s definitely a trail for your skill level. Be sure to keep an eye out for stunning views of the Flathead Valley and the surrounding wilderness!

Scenic Chairlift Rides

This is one of our favorite activities. If you want to take in the majestic beauty of the mountains without breaking a sweat, this is for you. (Unless you ride in the Gondola. You’ll sweat and bake in that container like an Easy Bake Oven) Click HERE for ticket info or at the base lodge, and let Whitefish Mountain’s chairlifts whisk you to the mountaintop for panoramic views that will leave you breathless. You can even ride up and take the Danny On Trail down. If you’re here in August, come with a baggie or bucket and do a little huckleberry picking. You’ll be among friends who are doing the same.

Zip Lining

This is a great adventure on Whitefish Mountain and a must-try experience. Here, you can soar through the treetops and feel the mountain wind breeze past as you zip from platform to platform. Tickets at the main lodge at Whitefish Resort. You can click HERE for more information too.

Alpine Slide

Oh, to feel like a kid again or, a perfect activity for the kids. This is one activity we love too! (and, we’re in our 50’s) Go as fast or slow as you want on Whitefish Mountain. It’s really a fun event and Mom or dad, you can ride with a little one while you do the steering and breaking. And, you can take it a little slower too. But, if there’s no one ahead of you, go for more speed and zip down to the bottom. You’ll love it. For ticket info, click HERE. It’s a twisting, turning ride that promises thrills and laughter for kids of all ages.
